Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following two burglaries in Banburyshire.

The first incident was at a house in Alkerton between 1pm last Friday and 8.45pm on Saturday, where offenders gained entry to the property through a ground floor window. They stole an iPad, vacuum cleaner and items of jewellery and silverware.

The second incident was at a property in Yule Court, Boxhedge Square, Banbury.

Between 10.50pm and 11pm last Friday, thieves entered the house through a small open kitchen window. The victim was asleep in bed and woken up by the noise. They shouted out and the offenders ran out.

A shopping bag containing a orange snake skinned purse, library card and small amount of cash was stolen.

Anyone with information about either incident should call police on 101.
