A King’s Sutton dog owner and his three-year-old border terrier have walked away with a top prize at Crufts.

Ronnie Irving of Banbury Lane is the proud owner of Thomas, who was one of 21,500 competitors taking part in the world’s biggest dog competition at the NEC Birmingham. Thomas won a prestigious Best of Breed award last Sunday.

Mr Irving, 68, said: “It was a very good experience and great to pick up Best of Breed. Thomas is normally a very outgoing dog but he’s a little uncomfortable under the light. I’m very proud of him.”
