Former Alcan employee Paul Moore produced more than 170 stunning pictures of Banbury during his years as a town resident.
He has now moved away from the area but fellow ex-Alcan man Terry Dee helped rediscover the paintings last week when he allowed Banbury Guardian photographer Lucy Ford to take pictures of seven paintings he purchased from Mr Moore at his Banbury home.
Since publishing the paintings in last week’s edition of the Banbury Guardian there has been a very positive response amongst residents and some have suggested there should be a permanent gallery in the town to showcase Mr Moore’s work which could be an important tourist attraction.
