Hanwell Community Observatory is offering people the chance to view the planet Jupiter, pictured above, at a free stargazing event on Saturday.

As part of National Astronomy Week, anyone over the age of eight can head along to Hanwell Castle between 6.30pm and 9pm. Warm clothing and stout footwear is essential and visitors need to park in the village.

Christopher Taylor, director at Hanwell Community Observatory, said: “Jupiter will be at its best – the best it has been for years and the moon will be spectacular.” Visit www.hanwellobservatory.co.uk or call 01295 730762.
