The reception at the Banbury Guardian’s office will close to personal callers from next Friday, March 28 – but we remain as committed as ever to our readers and advertisers.
With so many ways to still get in touch, the journalists and key advertising staff who cover your town will continue to be based in our North Bar office working diligently to support you.
The decision to close our reception has been taken because changing technology and changes to the way we all live our lives mean that the number of people who come into our office to see a member of staff is tiny compared to a few years ago.
There are now so many other ways people can get in touch with us that it is becoming increasingly clear that they don’t need to make a personal visit.
But as is now the case, you will still be able to contact Banbury Guardian staff by telephone or email.
You can also make contact via social media such as Twitter or Facebook. And if you wish to speak to a reporter or to me, the editor, face-to-face, you can also call the newsroom on 01295 227792 to make an appointment.
Our plans have been developed so that we can continue to maintain a highly visible presence in the community.
We know how important the Banbury Guardian is to our local community and this range of options will ensure the needs of our readers and advertisers are still met while allowing us to invest in new areas of our business.
So, let me take this opportunity to assure you that although we are making changes to how we work, the team at the Guardian remain focused on shining a light on the huge amount of great positive work being done in our communities.
In the meantime, from March 28, please use the key contacts on the right to get in touch with the Banbury Guardian for all your editorial and advertising needs. We’re still here for you and still committed to Banbury!
