Banbury audiences are invited to join the talented, award-winning members of Banbury Operatic Society for a musical extravaganza as they bring Broadway to Banbury with a concert in aid of Katharine House Hospice.
This very special show will be performed at Malborough Road Methodist Church, Banbury on Friday and Saturday October 18-19 .
Directed by Sally-Anne Watts and David Hornsby, with Alena Saroka returning for another concert as musical director, the concert features memorable music and songs from some of the best, award-winning Broadway and West End musicals.
With words and music from a wealth of talented composers and lyricists including Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd-Webber, the songs are from current shows back to some old favourites including Chicago, Sweeney Todd, Whistle Down the Wind, Chess, Phantom of the Opera, Oliver!, Anything Goes, High Society, The King and I, Song and Dance and Calamity Jane to name a few.
Performances start at 7.30pm each night, with a matinee at 2pm on the Saturday.
