A recruitment agency in Banbury is on the lookout for the town’s best employees as it launches its fourth Employee of the Year awards.
Plus One Personnel in High Street created the competition in 2010 and it gives employers the opportunity to recognise and reward individuals, teams and departments who have excelled over the past year.
Claire Kingsbury, Plus One Personnel director, said: “We are looking for local employers to nominate employees who have shown the most dedication or have really gone the extra mile and have done something truly amazing.
“This is also the chance for employers to let the Banbury community know their company is a great place to work for by entering the Banbury Employer of the Year category.”
The awards are free to enter and open to companies within a ten-miles radius of Banbury, regardless of size or industry sector. The competition has three categories; Employee of the Year, Team of the Year and Employer of the Year.
Nominations can be made from tomorrow (Friday) and an awards ceremony will take place on January 31, 2014 where Banbury MP Sir Tony Baldry will present the winners with a trophy and certificate.
Judges for the competition are Mrs Kingsbury and Stuart Moore of Plus One Personnel, Banbury Guardian editor Jason Gibbins, Banbury Sound MD Paul Angus and Sir Tony.
Mrs Kingsbury said: “The competition was started back when the country was in a recession and everything was quite depressing. The awards are aimed at giving something positive to the town and celebrating the fact we have some great people who work for great companies in the area.”
To nominate your employee, team or employer, visit www.plusonepersonnel.co.uk/awards2014 or call Zoe Baldwin on 01295 262266.
The closing date for entries is 5pm on December 20.
