Childcare students at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College held a Great Pink Bake Off fundraiser to help fight breast cancer.
Teachers and students adopted a pink theme for the event which was held at the Banbury campus in Broughton Road on October 14. It was inspired by BBC programme The Great British Bake Off and Great Pink Bake Offs were held nationally throughout October in support of Breast Cancer Care. Students held competitions to guess how many cupcakes filled a jar, organised a raffle and held three bake-off competitions. Paulina Plichta, student, said: “It is good to feel like we are doing something to help those affected.” The event raised a total of £158.
