Katharine House Hospice has announced it is to hold its popular annual Festival of Open Gardens in 2013.
During the event supporters of the hospice open their gardens for a day on set days through the spring and summer and invite residents to attend to raise funds for the Adderbury-based charity.
A small entrance fee is charged at each garden and some supporters also sell plants, produce, teas and other refreshments.
The hospice’s community fundraiser Valerie Carter said: “We have been thrilled by the response from supporters in the past, who so generously gave up their time to open their gardens for our benefit.
“The hospice relies heavily on donations and fundraising events in order to provide its service at a cost of £2.5 million this year. We must raise at least 1.5 million ourselves and it is through the generosity of supporters in the community that we are able to do this.”
If you wish have your garden featured in the 2013 festival call Valerie on 01295 81216.
The hospice can provide all insurance, publicity and road signs for your event.
