New train station car park in Banbury taking shape

Work to build a £10 million pound car park next to Banbury Railway Station is taking shape.

Chiltern Railways were granted permission to build the four storey building near the Royal Mail sorting office in Higham Way in November last year, and it will have 707 spaces when work is completed this year.

Residents living near the area in Marshall Road and Alma Road argued that traffic congestion from the car park would add to morning traffic and motorists travelling from Grimsbury and the M40.
