A 44-year-old male was airlifted to hospital on Saturday after falling from his horse in a field near Brackley.
A crew from Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) were called at about 11.50am and arrived at the scene within 15 minutes. The patient has sustained chest injuries in the fall, and was given much needed pain relief and carefully immobilised. He was flown to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire for further treatment.
On average, the WNAA attend three rescue missions every day, costing £1,700 per mission.
