Light rain showers does nothing to dampen final day at Cropredy

Waiting for Video...

The rain held off today (Saturday) as the rest of the sold-out Cropredy crowd enjoyed the third and final day of this year’s festival.

Accomplished performer/guitarist Richard Digance got the show on the road earlier this afternoon, with the funky and energetic folk tunes of Blackbeard’s Tea Party getting everyone dancing. English songwriter Reg Meuross and his band were the next act to line up on stage before London five-piece Tree Top Flyers enjoyed a lively performance.

Irish folk singer Cara Dillon provided a taste of her well-known songs with the help of guitarist Sam Lakeman, who also got the crowd in the dancing mood with some great instrumental pieces.

Marillion certainly warmed the crowd despite the light drizzle of rain in the evening, with many people engaging well with their popular songs. Legendary guitarist Al Stewart, accompanied by Dave Nachmanoff enjoyed a warm reception before Fairport Convention get set to round off this year’s spectacle.
