Audiences are in for a treat as Banbury Operatic Society stages the award-winning musical Kiss Me Kate at Wykham Theatre next week.

Directed by Janet Bishop, who has won national awards for her work, and with gun-toting gangsters, sparring actors, lovers, gamblers and romantic entanglements; this glittering and exuberant show really does have it all.

Music and lyrics are by Cole Porter and the witty score includes well-known numbers such as So In Love and Too Darn Hot.

The show, which is enjoying a West End revival, was Cole Porter’s biggest hit and ran for more than 1,000 performances on Broadway. Now Banbury audiences can see a quality production of the show at a fraction of the cost .

Kiss Me Kate will be staged between Tuesday, February 12 and Saturday, February 16. Performances start at 7.30pm each night and tickets (£10/£12) are now available from www.banburyoperaticsociety.co.uk or Anker & Partner Estate Agents in High Street, Banbury.
