Kieron takes on a golf marathon

Banbury man Kieron Shea will be taking on a golfing marathon, when he plays 146 holes, covering 26.2 miles over two days in aid of Helen & Douglas House children's hospice.

Kieron, aged 27, who works in industrial sales at Kärcher UK in Banbury, will be teeing off at Tadmarton Hearth Golf Club on June 6 and 7.

Kieron said: “I play a lot of golf and try to play as often as I can and, as hard as the challenge is going to be, I feel it will be something I will enjoy as well.

“I was inspired to raise money for Helen & Douglas House as my girlfriend’s sister, was cared for by the hospic. Knowing first hand what they did for the whole family over the years means a lot to them and me.”

Kieron, who is being supported by work colleagues, friends and family, hopes to exceed his £500 target.

In the meantime, he is busy practising three or four times a week. See www.justgiving.com/KieronsGolfMarathon
