Interesting art and design items will go on display

A PUBLIC viewing of interesting items owned by two art collectors will be held at Aynhoe Park this weekend.

Ayhnoe Park – A Modern Grand Tour, will feature an array of work from James Perkins’ collection, collector and owner of Aynhoe Park, and works owned by Andrew Lamberty, collector and dealer in modern design.

The art and curiosities on display will include a wide variety of works ranging from 20th Century and contemporary design, including works by Tony Duquette, Kam Tin and Piero Fornasetti as well as photographs by Bob Carlos Clarke and classical plaster casts, period furniture and even a steel rocketship.

The public viewing will run from tomorrow (Friday) until Monday and all items on display will be on offer in an auction taking place at Christie’s South Kensington saleroom in London on Tuesday at 10.30am.
