Police have released this CCTV image after cigarettes were stolen from a Co-op store in Banbury on January 13.

Police have released a CCTV image of two people following the theft of cigarettes from a convenience store in Banbury.

At 2pm on Monday, January 13, a man and a woman took a basket of shopping to the till in the Co-op store in Chatsworth Drive and asked the shop assistant for Lambert and Butler cigarettes. The shop assistant put these through the till and the lady picked these up off the counter and left the shop. The man then stated she had left with his wallet and did not return to pay for the shopping or the cigarettes.

PC Kevin Tobin of Bicester Police Station, said: “This is the second time cigarettes have been stolen in Banbury in this way. I am keep to speak to these people in the CCTV image, as I believe they have information which could help with the investigation.”
