Barry Whitehouse, the chairman of Banbury’s Old Town Association, has decided to step down after three years in the role.

Mr Whitehouse, who has helped organise the Old Town Party and champion and promote the area’s small shops, announced his decision on Tuesday.

Mr Whitehouse is also owner of The Artery store in Parson’s Street, Chair of Banbury and District Art Society and a columnist for the Four Shires Magazine. He will continue to focus on his other roles and his replacement will be announced in due course.
