A two-day celebration of local live music and cider will take place at Banbury’s newest music venue Castle House in Market Place, Banbury on Friday and Saturday, July 11-12.
Strummerfest runs in conjunction with Banbury’s Old Town Party and will host two stages on the Friday evening and a full day of music inside and outside Castle House on the Saturday.
There will also be an Open Busk in White Lion Walk and the festival’s aim is to raise funds for Katharine House Hospice in Adderbury.
Strummerfest organiser Chris Oakes said: “We are delighted to work with Suzette, Jake and the team at Castle House and also The Old Town Association to put on this celebration of local bands and musicians.
“I would like to thank all the bands, technicians and volunteers in advance for offering their services for free and I hope that we attract a good and generous crowd across the two days to help us raise some money for a great local charity.”
