Banbury Cross Players are gearing up for their next production, God of Carnage, which will be performed at Banbury’s Mill Arts Centre from March 5-8.

The play, written by Yazmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton tells th estory of a playground altercation between two young boys which brings their parents together in a bid to resolve the matter.

When the families get together, the evening progresses, the alcohol flows, the tensions emerge and finally the gloves come off in this brutally entertaining 2009 Tony Award winning play.

The entertaining characters are Ferdinand’s father, Alain, a lawyer who is never off his mobile phone, Ferdinand’s mother, Annette, who is most interested in her husband’s ‘wealth management’ and consistently wears good shoes. Bruno’s father, Michel, a self-made wholesaler with an unwell mother and Michel’s wife, Véronique, is writing a book about Darfur.

Tickets are priced £8/9 and are available from The Mill Box Office on 01295 279002.
