An exciting new business project is being set up in Banbury and its owners are looking for two young people to be part of it.
Noel Fuller and Carly Capell are currently in the process of setting up WysiWyg Deliveries, an evening and late-night service delivering convenience foods, drinks and more.
They are looking to recruit two new apprentices aged between 19-24 before the business launches on May 1 from Cherwell Business Village.
Mr Fuller said: “When I was growing up there were not many opportunities available for young people, if the traditional academic path was not right for them. I was very lucky to be offered a job with career prospects by a small business owner several years ago, and I now want to give the same opportunity to someone else.”
“This is a great chance for talented young people to gain business experience, earn money and achieve a recognised national qualification while they are working. We are excited to be able to provide an opportunity for young people that, although available in cities, would normally be very difficult to find in a town.”
“This business will provide a valuable service to the residents of Banbury and it’s surrounding villages, offering convenient and fast delivery of brands they know and trust straight to their door while helping young people develop business skills and experience.”
WysiWyg Deliveries plans to be open from 5pm-2am on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and aims to offer a wide selection of food and drink from trusted retailers as well as household goods, alcohol and cigarettes. The business will deliver to all of Banbury, including villages within a five-mile radius.
Noel Fuller and Carly Capell are working with Activate Learning, a company which specialises in finding placements for apprentices through the current government scheme, to find and interview appropriate candidates who are interested in applying for a position at WysiWyg Deliveries.
The apprenticeship will take one year to complete and will include the achievement of a Level 2 NVQ in either Business Administration or Sales and Telesales. The owners hopes to expand to Witney and Bicester in the near future, before expanding nationally over the next few years.
They said “Once the apprentices have completed their NVQ qualitification, a WysiWyg Deliveries franchise license will be made available to them at a 50 per cent discount, should they wish to take WysiWyg Deliveries to a new location.”
