The countdown is on for the grand finale to a year of fundraising for the Jago Worrall Foundation.
And it does not come much grander than at Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa, Fawsley.
Tickets are on sale for a Festive Charity Gala, on November 15, which aims to raise vital funds for two-year-old Jago Worrall from Welton, near Daventry.
The Foundation was adopted by the Banbury Guardian’s sister paper the Daventry Express as its charity for 2013 when it learned about how Jago nearly drowned in March last year. As a result he suffered severe brain damage and is now undergoing specialist round-the-clock care.
Fundraising needs to be ongoing and, as the local newspaper, the Daventry Express wanted to do its bit.
The gala, which starts at 7pm, takes place in Fawsley’s Knightly Suite and, following a welcome drink on arrival, a four-course festive menu including tea, coffee and mince pies will be served.
There will also be live music and dancing to Northamptonshire-based band Mister P and, courtesy of High Times, a charity auction later on in the evening.
English toastmaster Garry Smith has also donated his services free of charge and floral decorations on the night are being provided by Welton florist Janet Marlow.
The evening concludes at midnight. Tickets are now on sale and cost £65pp with the option of bringing along a wrapped gift for under the Christmas tree which will later be passed on to Northampton General Hospital’s children’s ward.
There is also the option of accommodation for the night at a specially reduced rate of £150 per room (based on two people sharing and to include full English breakfast.)
The usual rate is £250. To book tickets call 01327 708288.
