Firefighters from Banbury and Deddington were called to Calibargo’s Hill near Williamscot for the second time in a month following a serious crash on Saturday morning.
At 10.20am they arrived at the scene and found a vehicle on its side with the driver trapped. South Central Ambulance worked with the fire crews to use cutting equipment to remove the rear door, windscreen and roof, and the driver was transported to the Banbury’s Horton Hospital via ambulance.
John Callaway, watch manager at Banbury Fire Station, said: “With the seasonal changes in the weather, drivers need to be aware of the road conditions and adjust their speed accordingly. Wet roads, fallen leaves and poor visibility can all lead to an increase in road traffic collisions at this time of year.”
