Two gold rings were stolen from a house in Upper Heyford following a distraction burglary.
At about 11.25am last Wednesday, an elderly man was approached by a man who said there was a problem with his roof and led him into the back garden of his home in Mill Lane to look at it.
Another man then entered the property and conducted an untidy search. Both left the property when the victim’s daughter arrived.
The jewellery is described as a gold band inset with rubies all the way around and a plain gold band.
Anyone with information or has been offered these items for sale should call Mark Doran, investigating officer at Banbury Police Station, on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
