A 43-year-old man from Banbury remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital following a serious accident on the Bloxham Road on Wednesday night.
He was cycling along the A361 Bloxham Road at about 9.20pm when he collided with a blue Range Rover. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene of the collision, and the cyclist was taken to Oxford’s John Racliffe Hospital with serious head injuries.
A section of the road was closed for several hours while road traffic officers investigated the circumstances.
Sergeant Bryan Smith of the Thames Valley Roads Policing Joint Operations Unit, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who witnessed the movements of the vehicles prior to the collision to contact police. Any piece of information could be vital to determining the circumstances of the collision.”
