A businessman from Banbury has begun a new venture, offering residents the chance to play crazy golf anytime and in any location.
Daniel Spencer has created a mobile crazy golf course which can be used at children’s birthday parties, weddings and corporate events either indoors or outdoors.
Mr Spencer, who lives in Wesley Drive, said: “The idea originated from playing lots of crazy golf on holidays with my daughter and seeing the course busy with people of all ages loving it. I don’t think there is anything like this in Banbury.
“Being a parent you are constantly looking out for different birthday party ideas – wouldn’t it be great to be able to play crazy golf anywhere, anytime!”
The crazygolf2u course fits into seven large bags that include 36 individual metre-squared astro-grass tiles which fit together like a jigsaw. Velcro side bumpers keep the ball in play and there is range of holes with different obstacles such as curves, bridges and a loop-the-loop.
The equipment includes low bounce golf balls and rubber headed putters in both junior and adult sizes. The nine-hole course can be set up by one person in under an hour.
Mr Spencer said: “It gives customers a good golfing balance between skill and fun. I deliver the course to customers’ events and they can choose either to assemble it themselves or I can set it up for them. Customers can tailor the number of holes they want to whatever size and shape they desire and to what difficulty.
“It is really creative and can be great fun designing new layouts. It can be set up anywhere that is flat, so your garden, office, concrete space or a local venue of your choice, at any time of the year.”
