Residents living in Cherwell are being invited to test their knowledge to mark the tenth anniversary of recycling in the district.
Until September 30, Cherwell District Council is encouraging people to complete a quiz on its website to be in with a chance to win an annual family pass to Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens.
Councillor Nigel Morris, lead member for clean and green, said: “In the ten years since we introduced recycling in Cherwell our residents have saved £9.7 million in landfill tax and we want to thank them.
“Not only could residents stand to win a great prize, the quiz will also provide feedback to both the public and council about which areas need a little more attention to ensure we all continue to do the best job possible at keeping waste out of landfill.”
The quiz is split into two sections. The first has three questions about people’s personal recycling habits and the second has ten multiple choice questions about recycling in general. The prize draw is on October 1.
Ten runners up will receive a free blue or brown recycling bin. For details visit www.cherwell.gov.uk/recycling
