A Banbury mobile phone accessories company is branching out abroad in a significant expansion.
Gusto Telecom Solutions is opening new bases in North America and Europe following a recent location to Banbury from Coventry.
The move was made to give the business larger quarters to house products and also provide space for its staff complement of 12, which is being increased by more than 25 by the end of the year.
Gusto has increased its turnover to £6.5m since starting up in 2012.
To increase the firm’s increasing order book, owner Jolyon Bennett is supported in the expansion by a substantial overdraft facility from Lloyds Commercial Banking.
Mr Bennett said: “I have the ambition to make Gusto the largest seller of mobile phone accessories in the world and I am continuously looking for ways in which the company can grow.
“Through the overdraft facility provided by the bank, the firm is supported if any unforeseen costs occur.
“As Gusto regularly deals with suppliers in China, I have the peace of mind that any exchange rates are locked in on a contract through the foreign exchange service.
“With Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking dealing with payments my time is freed up to concentrate on other areas.”
The firm supplies many well-known British retailers with its products, sold across 5,000 retail stores in five countries worldwide, and it now has plans to increase its range of lines further with six new lines being manufactured and developed for Christmas.
Gusto’s ‘Juice’ branded mobile charger launched the company into the UK mobile technology market in 2012, selling 2,000 units in its first week. The company now also sells phone covers, portable chargers and speakers.
