Staff and residents at Green Pastures Christian Nursing Home in Banbury enjoyed the sunshine last Friday to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

They spent the morning at their base in The Hawthorns making flower arrangements in honour of those who lost their lives during the operation and then reminisced over a D-Day lunch, complete with ration book and menu.

Staff dressed up in various war-themed outfits which provided lively chats and memories with some of the residents, with finished with an emotional sing-a-long.
