London’s Marylebone Station will remain closed this afternoon and evening following the signal cable fire yesterday (Sunday).

Damage from the incident was more extensive than first thought, with train provider Chiltern Railways not running any services to and from London.

Banbury passengers travelling towards the capital via High Wycombe will terminate at either West Ruislip or South Ruislip for connecting London Underground services. Some trains may continue to Wembley Stadium.

Engineers are continuing with repair work overnight, and those travelling to London tomorrow (Tuesday) are advised to check the Chiltern Railways website before setting off.

An emergency timetable is available at www.chilternrailways.co.uk/news/service-disruption-monday-16-june-2014
