Staff at Lloyds Bank in Banbury held an Alzheimer’s Day last month to help promote awareness about the condition.
The team at the High Street branch sold CDs entitled Christmas Memories and cakes on November 29. The whole day raised £220.
Kamran Farooq, bank manager, said: “The day went really well and I think this event really helped to let people know more about what a person with dementia has to deal with on a day-to-day basis. I don’t think many people understand what they have to go through so this was a simple but effective way of raising money.” Pictured with Lloyds staff members is Banbury town mayor Nicholas Turner.
