Three people have been arrested as police continue to appeal for witnesses after a serious assault in Banbury yesterday (Wednesday).
Two boys aged 16 and 17 have been bailed in connection with the incident which happened in Causeway, Grimsbury at about 2am. A 25-year-old man remains in custody. The 26-year-old victim continues to be treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where his condition is described as stable.
Detective Sergeant Jim Holmes, investigating officer, said: “We are appealing for any members of the public who may have seen this assault or any suspicious activity in the area to contact us.
“It is thought that some cyclists and a pedestrian may have been passing at the time of the assault and we would like to speak to them.”
