The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) was called out to Middleton Cheney Primary School this morning after a 55 year-old member of staff sustained a head injury after falling inside the school sports hall.

The ambulance crew landed in the school’s playing field at 10:00am, 13 minutes after receiving the emergency call and assessed the patient, who had reportedly lost consciousness in the fall.

The man was immobilised and given anti-sickness medication before being carefully airlifted to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire.
