Banbury Academy’s Oliver King, 17, (pictured), has been offered a place at Oxford University to study physics. He said: “It’s a really exciting opportunity – I can’t wait to get started there. I want to thank Banbury Academy and all the teachers.” Oliver was one of three sixth form pupils from the academy who went on a two-week space programme trip to the USA in October and November last year.
Deborah Harris, assistant principal and head of sixth form, said: “Oliver has taken every opportunity our sixth form has offered him and used his time with us to the full. We look forward to seeing him progress through university to a fulfilling and interesting career!”
