The first week of June was a busy one at Queensway Primary School as pupils took part in an array of literary activities as part of the Banbury Partnership Reading Week. Throughout the week, the children got the opportunity to visit libraries and book fairs and hear authors talk about their inspiration. Parents also took part in a range of reading activities, including story camp fires, den building and biscuits bedtime.
Literacy co-ordinator Maria Hollidge said:
“It was a fantastic week with excellent parental engagement and children being inspired to read a greater variety of literature.”
As the grand finale, the week came to a close with an assembly and story hat competition.
