Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Banbury donned silly socks in order to to ‘Sock it to eating disorders’ and raise money for Beat, the UK eating disorder charity.

The Banbury ladies completed a circular walk between Bodicote and Adderbury then enjoyed a sandwich lunch, in return for donations to the charity.

Inner Wheel’s national president, Zena Coles, said: “My 18-year-old granddaughter was hospitalised due to an eating disorder.

“I know many of our members will know of people who have experience of this distressing problem, either through friends or, like me, because a member of the family is a sufferer.”
