Do you fancy putting the kettle on, baking some cakes and inviting your friends round for a cuppa, all to help raise funds for vital hospice care?
Katharine House Hospice’s newly-launched coffee morning fundraising campaign, Care for a Cuppa, is encouraging Banburyshire residents to do just that.
The campaign is set to run between Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 9. Hospice staff are calling on tea and cake lovers to hold coffee mornings or afternoon teas at work, home or school in return for donations to the hospice.
Organisers will be sent fundraising packs complete with posters, invitations, balloons, recipes, top tips and lapel stickers to help stir up support for their event.
Sarah Brennan, Katharine House community fundraiser, said: “Why not brighten up the winter months by taking part in Care for a Cuppa?
“It can be as big or small as you like, simply ask your guests to give a donation for tea/coffee and cake. You could even hold a raffle or sweepstake at your event for something a bit different!”
The hospice is also calling on local cafes, pubs and restaurants to hold their own events, or similar fundraisers on themes such as Care for a Curry or Care for a Cocktail.
