There was fun for all the family in Chipping Warden on Sunday as people young and old gathered for the village fete.
The event, held in Manor Gardens, is organised every year by five volunteers of a sub-committee to support the village sports club and St Peter and St Paul Church in Mill Lane. Barbara Bartlett, sub-committee member, said: “It was a beautiful afternoon and with the lovely weather we had throughout the day it was a tremendous success.
“The dog show was lovely as there was lots of different varieties.”
There were more than 30 stalls on the day, alongside a dress up day to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War.
Later on in the afternoon there was a dog show, a variety of children’s activities and a raffle.
Mrs Bartlett said: “We haven’t got a confirmed amount of how much we raised, but it was lovely to see lots of people there.
“The gardens are a lovely setting and we’d like to thank Nicholas and Claire Brook for always allowing us use of the gardens.
“We’d also like to thank everyone for turning up. Everyone really worked hard on the day to make it a success.”
