Chenderit School celebrates another year of strong results at A Level

Chenderit students are again celebrating success in today's A-level results, marking another year of strong academic and personal achievements for students at the school.

Overall 23 percent of all results are grades A* and A, almost half of all results (48 percent) were graded B or higher with an overall pass rate of 97 percent.

There were plenty on stellar individual performances to be celebrated with a number of students achieving three or more A* to A grades, who will now go forward and pursue degrees in a number of fields. They are; Verity Babbs (History of Art - Oxford), Katie Beckett (Classics - Royal Holloway), Ellie Cousins (Food and Nutrition - Sheffield Hallam), Reuben Cox (Maths - Warwick), Paula Dewey (Chemistry - York), Annie Quy (Medicine - Cardiff), Jess Sharman (Psychology - Newman), Seren Thomas (Japanese and Spanish - Cardiff).  In addition, the following students secured 2 A* to A grades in addition to other good grades. They are; Ellen Forbes (Scenic Arts - Royal Central School of Speech and Drama), Laura Howlett (International Events Management - Surrey), Sophie Paul (Art Foundation), Elisabeth Richardson (English and Art History - Sussex), Katherine Shaw (Psychology - Edinburgh).

“Today’s results reflect the diligence and determination of so many in our community, over so many years and I am delighted that the futures that our students dreamed of can now be realised with virtually all of our students moving on to their destinations of choice.”

She added: “On behalf of the school and the Governing Body, I would like to pass on my thanks to the whole school community and congratulate our A level students. The support our students receive from the school and their families is essential in ensuring such success.”
