Banbury’s Space Studio will be hosting an open afternoon/evening on March 30 to showcase the facility.
The school is inviting both GCSE and A level students, parents and local businesses to attend the event which will focus on the schools ability to deliver the core STEM subjects (science, technology, maths and English) in it’s modern studio facility.
The studio is undergoing some positive changes after Mrs Julia Ingham, who has worked at Banbury Academy for over 20 years on the Senior Leadership Team, successfully took over the role of Head of School.
A new director of Project Based Learning has been recruited and further recruits are being interviewed in the areas of maths and engineering.
Visitors will be able to tour the virtual reality suite and learn first hand about the project based learning the school currently undertakes in conjunction with Banbury based and national businesses.
The school is keen to establish new partnerships with local businesses that have STEM subjects at their core.
The open day will run from 2.15pm until 6.30pm.
