Adam Thomas, 22, and Claudia Patatas, 38, both of Waltham Gardens, deny being members of National Action.

Birmingham Crown Court heard messages from an encrypted online chat group set up by former members of National Action after the group was banned on December 16, 2016, following the murder of MP Jo Cox.

The court was told of racist messages Patatas and Thomas sent on the chat group to people already convicted of being members of National Action.

Thomas also ranted against the British flag, the Royal Family, global warming and veganism, the court heard.

Yesterday (Monday), the court was shown pictures of racist paraphernalia at the couple's home as well as photographs of them doing a Nazi salute and wearing KKK robes.

The trial continues.
