He is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, of broad build with cropped brown hair. He has a birthmark on the left side of his neck.

Det Sgt Lee Newman, from Banbury police station, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries to trace David. He failed to attend his appointments following his release from prison.

“We would still like to hear from anyone who recognises David or knows of his whereabouts and ask them not to approach him but to contact police as a matter of urgency.

“He is known to frequent the Banbury area and also has links to Basingstoke so I would also appeal to anyone in Hampshire to report any possible sightings of David.”

Anyone with any information about the incident should contact the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting URN 1289 29/7.

If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
