Police constable suspended after Banbury assault

A serving police constable has been suspended following a fight between two women in the street in Banbury.

At around 9.45pm on June 10, police were called to reports of an altercation between two women on Addison Road, Banbury.

The dispute led to an assault, with the victim receiving injuries which required hospital treatment and surgery. The victim has since been discharged.

Thames Valley Police said a woman was arrested on suspicion of GBH and has been released under police investigation.

The woman arrested is a serving police constable and she has been suspended pending further investigation.
