WEST Oxfordshire District Council’s Cabinet has pledged a £50,000 grant and a loan of £15,000 to help Enstone Parish Council furnish, decorate and equip its newly-built parish hall.

The new building, on Cox’s Lane, has been provided by Charles Church Developments as part of a new housing scheme in the village
The parish council now has to meet the cost of fitting it out, which will be done through the sale of the existing parish hall the district council’s grant, a loan and donations.
Cllr Richard Langridge, cabinet member for the local economy, communities and culture said, “Village halls play an important part of community life.
“We are pleased to be able to allocate this grant to help with the fitting out of this much-needed facility.”
