Pedal power helped toddlers raise money for Shenington Nursery as they took the track at the local go-kart track, it was reported in the Banbury Guardian on May 28, 1998. About 20 youngsters were involved and although they were moving a lot slower than the usual speedy machines normally seen on the track, they certainly had a great morning and enjoyed themselves.

And it was all in a good cause. At this point, almost 50 youngsters, aged from two-and-a-half to five, attended the nursery every week. The funds raised went to much-needed equipment.

Pictured (from left to right) are nursery school pupils Kate Birkbeck, aged three, Matilda Kirwin, aged three, Emily-Jane Matthews, aged two, Georgie McEwan, aged two, Cameron Bailey, aged three, and Emily Gotch, aged two.
