The history of Banbury was brought to life when children from the area got together to tell the story of the town, it was reported in the Banbury Guardian on April 20, 1982.
Children from schools all around Banbury performed a half hour play, All Their Yesterdays For Our Tomorrows, in Drayton School theatre before an audience which included the Mayor Margaret Ferriman.
They were taking part in the Cherlew Award Scheme, a pilot project set up at Hardwick Hall to encourage children to take an interest in the history of their town.

Peter and other children took a big step back to the fifth century to relive the making of Banbury.
