Banburyshire was terrorised by ghosts in the early 1990s, or at least that is what could be read in the Banbury Guardian.
Ghostly goings on were rocking a school, frightening pupils, teachers and parents.
The terrifying story was reported in the April 8 edition of the Banbury Guardian back in 1993.
But it was all in the name of fun, for the ghost tunnel was just one of the attractions at Tysoe School fete the previous week.
Visitors had paid 5p each to be scared.
The event raised a total of £242 for school funds and other stalls, run by the children, included homemade goods and various competitions.
