Have you ever wanted to live like a Lord or Lady and set up in your own stately home, surveying your extensive country estates for miles around?
Now you can celebrate your birthday, anniversary or special occasion at the National Trust’s Upton House and Gardens near Banbury, just as former owner Lord Bearstead did in the 1930s, by hiring the historic property’s garden terrace and restaurant.
Funds raised from your special day will go towards the upkeep of the historic home and its world famous art collection. The National Trust charity has gone into partnership with catering firm Aubrey Allen to offer the events for up to 60 people.
Assistant visitor services manager Andrew Overton said: “This is an amazing opportunity to have a very special venue all to yourself. It means you can wander round the garden and have drinks on the terrace before going in to dinner in our fine Pavilion Restaurant. We are very excited about working with Aubrey Allen, because we can be a lot more flexible in arranging parties so you can now have Upton House and Gardens at a modest cost, with amazing food.” For details visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/uptonhouse.co.uk
