A CHARITY football match involving a Banbury team will be refereed by former Premier League referee and Sky commentator Dermot Gallagher next week.

Banbury’s Spiceball Park Sports Centre will play the Ken Marriott Leisure Centre from Rugby at Broughton and North Newington football ground.

The match takes place at 1.45pm on Thursday, November 22 and aims to raise awareness of bowel disease as well as offering support for people suffering with Crohn’s and Colitis in the local community.

Organisers Glen Staite-Loveridge and Caroline Meadow, who both suffer from bowel diseases, also hope to raise some money for the National Association of Crohn’s and Colitis.
