An electric blue Ford Fiesta Zetec car was stolen while on a test drive in Chipping Norton.

At about 3.30pm on May 29, a man and woman requested to test drive the car at Wheelers Car Sales, Banbury Road. The three-door car was taken out by the offenders and not returned.

The dark silver Audi A3 convertible they arrived in was driven away by a third person after the theft.

The man is white, around 5ft 4in, of medium build and aged about 30 years old with short, cropped spiked blonde hair. The woman is white, around 5ft 3in and slim, with long black hair. Both spoke with Welsh accents.

PC Henry Gillingham of Witney Police Station, said: “We would like to make other dealerships aware of this theft and ask them to make sure they do not allow people to take vehicles out on test drives without being accompanied by staff.

“In this case the suspects handed over false driving licences so be on your guard when checking identification. Also check the keys returned following a test drive still work with that vehicle. Check you can see the vehicle they have arrived in and if you feel anything is suspicious, call 101.”

Anyone with information should call PC Gillingham on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
