Model and presenter Annaliese Dayes will be one of the special guests at the launch of a new high-end design studio in Banbury.
Ms Dayes will perform the official opening of J D’Cruz Bags at the event at 54-56 Parsons Street this evening (Thursday).
Members of the public are invited to join the gathering at 7pm following a VIP reception.
Young designer and studio owner Jasmine Gilhooly will be hosting the event where visitors will be treated to champagne, cocktails, popcorn and cup cakes.
Her long-time friend, model and champion boxer Rob Evans, will be supporting the event just three days before his return to the boxing ring after four years’ modelling in the USA.
“It’s going to be a fantastic evening, lively and colourful, and I’m really looking forward to showing my guests and the public around the studio,” said Miss Gilhooly.
“There are three rooms – one is a showroom with my range of handbags and purses. Another is my print studio where I hand print the leather that is cut and stitched in London to make up my designs.
“I have my sewing machines there for development of prototype designs and people are always amused by the bath, which is used for washing the print screens.
“The third room is a comfortable lounge area for customers.
“The theme of the studio is leather and the style is vintage chic – it’s a super space,” she said.
Miss Gilhooly, 23, will use the studio as her creative powerhouse and will see customers by appointment. The showroom will be open every Saturday from 10am-3pm.
